Our team is composed of highly skilled inspectors and metrologists with decades of collective experience and technical knowledge. They are responsible for evaluating manufactured products to ensure they are characterized dimensionally and cosmetically to customers' requirements per the print.
To identify whether a part meets the print requirements, we need precise and reliable measurement systems. At Spectrum's inspection lab, we have broad measurement capabilities including high precision coordinate measuring machines that have tactile, scan, and optical measuring abilities, as well as dedicated vision systems and microscopes that can measure or view parts in a way that the human eye cannot.
Spectrum's inspection lab helps our customers mitigate risk because we invest time and due diligence during new product introductions to ensure we are meeting our customers' dimensional and capability requirements, particularly in initial product validations.
To do so, we use our technical expertise and metrological knowledge in working with our customers to define the most appropriate measurement method for the characteristic. Once a robust measurement system is in place, we verify that it is repeatable and reproducible through measurement system analysis, utilizing tools such as ANOVA gauge R&R.
We strive to provide our customers with the best quality part that meets their needs both functionally and visually.
