Spectrum Plastics has actually been injection molding for over 60 years out of our Minneapolis, Minnesota location. We have a second location in Pittsfield, Massachusetts as well, and one of our strengths actually is probably the injection molding of challenging high-performance materials that are used for implantable components like bioresorbable materials.
You know, I think it's important to recognize that with bioresorbable, it's not just the injection molding process itself. It starts when the material walks in the front door. That's the part where that material needs to be carefully handled. It needs to be managed throughout the process both before molding and post molding, and for us it's one of those things that we really take pride on that it's not just injection molding, it's actually managing the entire system when we're trying to manage a component.
You know, we also specialize in PEEK materials, Radel's, all of the other materials that require a little sophistication and precision in the molding. Now the great news is that actual capability expands into all the products that we make. So you know, we do overmolding of handles, we do overmolding of metals. That same dedication to precision, understanding the full process is something that we really take pride in.
And even beyond our shop walls, we have deep relationships with all the suppliers for raw material. We think it's really important to get the right solution to people, to offer solutions, and we have a lot of post-molding capabilities. The great news is being part of Spectrum, we go way beyond the injection molding, and we've got a lot of projects now where we're overmolding parts, we're attaching our tubing products to them, and we're able to even do a full kitted solution for people.
And you know, this combined solution is really where we see the strength, and you know, we have this willingness to work with both startup companies and large OEMs. I mean, the great thing is we get really excited about serving this industry. It's fulfilling, it's a higher purpose in many ways, and it's something that we really enjoy and get motivated by.
